Currently based in Singapore, Dominic Wall has over 29 year's experience at national and international level sports management which includes 16 years in a number of roles for the Australian Golf Union (AGU) and Golf Australia (GA) including National Director of Coaching, Manager Development and Acting Executive Director and 5 years as Development Manager for the Australian Coaching Council based at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
Dominic has also been a speaker at a number of international golf conferences in St. Andrews, New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia including the R&A’s International Golf Conference, the HSBC Golf Business Forum and the World Scientific Congress of Golf. He has extensive experience in golf management, particularly in Australia and the Asian region, and can draw on a number of other experts and stakeholders in golf for a wide range of specialized areas.
In January 2009 Dominic was appointed to the role of Director Asia-Pacific for The R&A and relocated to Hong Kong before moving to Singapore in late 2016. He was also Technical Delegate for the Asian Games Golf Competition and Tournament Director for the 2009 and 2010 Asian Amateur Championships and 2009 Asia-Pacific Teams Championship, Technical Delegate for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, a referee at the 2016 Rio Olympics and Technical Delegate to the 2017 Summer Universaide in Taiwan. Dominic is also a member of the Technical Committee and Board of the Women’s World Golf Rankings and a Board Member of the HSBC China Golf Association’s National Junior Golf Program.
In the past, Dominic has helped the Chinese Taipei Golf Association with their Rules Training programme, a major review for high performance golf in Singapore initiated by the Singapore Sports Council, production of a national golf development strategy for the Indian Golf Union, a major golf educational program for Saujana Golf Resort in Malaysia, writing a book called Golf Excellence which maps out the Australian model for developing golfers and many other activities.
In Dominic’s role as Tournament Director for the APGC he was responsible for the operation of all the APGCs championships. He also produced the APGCs Newsletter and represented the APGC at various regional events including the 2006 and 2010 Asian Games, 2007 South Pacific Games and 2007 South Pacific Games.
